Maverick
Maverick is a beautiful Spaniel/ Retriever type mix, rescued from the streets of Kentucky. He has a wonderful personality, wonderful manners, and a wonderful forever home to go into. However, all of this is for nothing unless he can have heartworm treatment. Though we treat many heartworm positive dogs, Maverick's heartworm is extensive. So much so that to treat it will cost about $2000. This is a huge expense but we cannot let this dog die from something so preventable and treatable. His prognosis is good once treatment is completed and he should be able to live a happy, healthy life in his new home.
